- Abrams, Daniel (Danny); Class of 1959. Passed away August 10, 2004.
- Allen, Endrew F.; Class of 1988. Died May 21, 2005 in a plane crash onto the Coney Island shore with his three other passengers. He was a member of Arista and the Academic Olympics among his other accomplishments at Erasmus.
- Altshul. Lora Mehlman; Class of 1956. Passed away March 9th, 2005.
- Arkin, Bruce; Class of 1951. Passed away November 10, 2005. Bruce was on the Varsity Baseball team.
- Asset, Gabrielle Brieger; Class of 1924. Passed away December 21, 2003. Received a medallion in 1921 for the highest scholastic achievement at Erasmus. In those years women were not suitable candidates to receive a Physics Ph.D. So she went on to receive two masters degrees. She served with the U.S. Army Chemical Corps and was the first women to receive the Secretary Of The Army Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service in 1961 and in 1964. She went on to teach at several schools and colleges.
- Ast, Pat; Class of 1959. Passed away October, 2001. Pat was a Broadway actress and among her credits appeared in "Women Behind Bars", was also a pal of Halston, and Streisand.
- Baden, Gary P.; Class of 1947. Passed away on July 26, 2001. He is sorely missed by his wife, four children, and eight grandchildren.
- Banks, Burton; Class of 1949. Passed away December 26, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Marcie and two sons.
- Berens, Ronald; Class of 1947. Passed away November 26, 2003.
- Blaukopf, Muriel; Class of 1962. Passed away September, 2001. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Blaukopf Morse, Class of '58.
- Blickstein, Naomi Abrams; Class of 1949. Died July, 2004. Naomi is survived by a brother, Stuart, Class of 1956, two children and two grandchildren. Stuart would love to hear from any who remembers her. StuBlick@bellsouth.net
- Blumberg Bromley, Ira A.; Class of 1958. Attended the Reunion in Ft. Lauderdale, and passed away 2 months later, on May 2.
- Bocchino, Michael Leopoldo; Class of 1973. Michael 45, attached to Engine Co. 240, Battalion 48, in the Kensington section of Brooklyn lost his life at the World Trade Center 9/11/01.
- Borenstein Tarcher, Ruth; Class of 1933. Passed away January 1995. Her daughter, Carol Tarcher Ellis, Tarell@aol.com states, "My mother was very interested in Erasmus and never lost her love for Brooklyn. She expressed over the years a real interest in what happened to the kids she went to school with. If anyone is looking for her...or is interested in finding out what ever happened to her....I know that she would want them to know. And yes, if someone want to know more, I will be happy to e-mail them".
- Boyce, Cynthia deLandro, former teacher, guidance counselor and college advisor, passed away September 10, 2007. She was a member of the Erasmus Faculty from about 1983 to 2005.
- Brankin, Phyllis Norris; Class of 1956. Died October 6, 2002. She was loved and is missed by her husband Jerry, three children and three grandchildren.
- Brock, William; Class of 1939. Passed away March 10, 2006. A sister, Doris Brock Wannerstrom, Class of 1933, and a brother Robert, predeceased him. He is survived by one daughter, Janet Brock Kraebel, Class of 1970 his son in-law and 3 grandsons.
- Bruskin, Stuart; Class of 1953. Passed away January 22nd, 2005, survived by his wife, Ina (nee Robins), 2 daughters, 4 grand children. Anyone wishing to get in touch may do so at irb916@optonline.net.
- Buschell, Barry; Class of 1950.
- Cannon, Coak; Class of 1966. Passed away October 2, 2006. Coak helped lead Erasmus to the 1965 City Championship in basketball.
- Capon, Joseph; Class of 1979. Passed away April 24, 2006. Joe was part of the 1978 Erasmus Football City Championship Team and was a major part of in our victory.
- Chappelle, Thoedore "Teddy"; Class of 1952. Played on the EHHS Football team for 3 years. Passed away in September, 2003.
- Cooper, Myron; Class of 1932. He died at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife Rose, 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
- Creper, Sybil; Class of 1961. passed away in December 2006.

- Denman, Grace, of the English Department in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's, passed away February 20, 2000.
- Robbins, Geraldine Dreyfuss; Class of 1938. Sister of Roberta Robbins Dreyfuss, class of '41 (deceased) and Arlynne Robbins Kagan, class of '44. Mother of Academy award actor Richard Dreyfuss. Geraldine died on October 19, 2000. Several Erasmus Alumni attended her memorial service in Los Angeles.
- Eichen, Marvin A.; Class of 1942. Passed away July 17, 2008 in Sarasota, Florida at the age of 83. He was a 2nd Lt. in the Air Corps as a bombardier during W.W.II. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Mildred, 2 children and 3 grandchildren and his brother Sheldon (class of Jan. 1947).
- Eisenstein, Edward; Class of 1945. Founder and Past President of the Erasmus Hall High School Alumni Association. Deceased 12/23/01
- Evans, Dr. Winston; Class of 1965. Erasmus Hall High School Alumni Association's liaison with Erasmus Hall High School, an Honorary Board Member, and Faculty member. Deceased 2/13/02
- Fields, Sherry Sobelman; Class of 1960. Wife of Alan Sobelman, passed away.
- Fishkin, Rose M.; Class of 1926. Died April 10, 2000
- Frank, Theresa; Class of 1935. Founder and President of the Erasmus Hall High School Alumni Association. Deceased 7/8/97
- Frankel, Dr. Kenneth M.; Class of 1957. Passed away June 17, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Felice C., and his two sons Mathew D. Frankel and his wife LauraK. Linn and Michael J. Frankel.
- Fratkin, Don; Class of 1946. Passed away February 16, 2008.
- Fried, Elaine M. de Kooning; Class of 1936. Died February 1st, 1989. She was an artist and teacher. Her works hang in the President Harry S. Truman Library and the President John F. Kennedy Library.
- Futter, Victor; Class of 1935. Died in Sept. 2005. He was a past president of the Columbia College Alumni Association, former Secretary of Allied Corp., Professor of Law at Hofstra University. He is survived by his wife, Joan, and three children, Ellen, Jeffrey, and Deborah.
- Garber, Martin; Class of 1954. Passed away March 5, 1999.
- Goldenberg, Bernard; Dedicated Mathematics teacher at Erasmus Hall passed away August 9, 2005.
- Goldman, Sheila Burg; Class of 1952. Sheila taught in the New York school system for over 30 years.
- Greenstein, Cheryl Ann; Class of 1967. Died from a long battle with Cancer April 17, 1991 at the early age of 41.
- Halem, Susan Michele; Class of 1963. Passed away July 26, 2002.
- Harris, Irv; Class of 1958. Died July 2003. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Marge, his children Glenn, Gregg and Pamela Keith, and his loving grandchildren Joshua, Matthew and Alec.
- Hausner, Harold; Attended Erasmus Hall in the 1930's, and he passed away on February 4th, 2007 at the age of 90. He served honorably with the 139th Army Airways Communication Squadron in the Pacific during WWII.
- Hess, Selma Forman; Class of 1939. Passed away in 1980.
- Hirsch, Barbara J. Skeer; Class of 1949. Passed away July 17, 2001.
- Hodes, Allan; Class of 1956. Passed away July 27, 2007. "A gentle and wonderful man" from his oldest and dearest friend, Ed Sere '56.
- Homan, William E.; Class of 1937. Passed away July 21, 1991 of emphysema. (See Betty R Peden '39).

- Jacobs, Marshall; Class of 1951. Marshall passed away October 11, 2007. He was a member of the Erasmus' PSAL Champion Football Team.
- Kaufman, Beverly Shmerling; Class of 1945. Passed away April 9, 2004.
- Kooperstein, Robert Cooper; Class of 1958. Passed away February 21, 2003. He is survived by his wife Carol, and their two children Alisa and Jeff.
- Koslow, William; Class of 1935. Passed away January 17, 2003. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lillian (Morris High School, Class of '38) and his daughter, Estajo Koslow. His daughter welcomes any inquiries from any alumni who remember him at notashiksa@att.net
- Kravette, Lewis; Class of 1946. Passed away December 17, 2004.
- Kretmar, Don; Class of 1959. Passed away October 18th, 1996. He is survived by his wife (Judy), his children and his grandchildren.
- Lane, Madeline "Maddy" Howard; Class of 1963. Passed away in 2002.
- Lee, John J.; Class of 1954. Noted Yale Alumnus and benefactor died May 5, 2001. He was a basketball star at Erasmus and at Yale.
- Levine, Robert J. Sr. Class of 1937. Passed away 9/24/08. A retired NYC schoolteacher (EHHS, Montauk JHS and Roy Mann JHS, who is survived by his son, Robert, Jr. (Class of '62)
- Levokove, Michael; Class of 1953. Passed away April 3, 2008. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Celeste.
- Levy (Dickert), Arnold Lawrence (Larry); Class of 1947. Passed away January 21, 1997. His diploma named him as Arnold Lawrence Levy. He is survived by his two sons, Sanford and Andrew, and a daughter Blair, and his two grandchildren. The family would love to hear from anyone who remembers him. - Lipsky, Harold; Class of 1966. Passed away December 25th, 2003.
- Lipton, Ina Jacobson; Class of 1961. Passed away August 12, 2006.. She had been a leader and a member of Arista. Ina was a guidance counselor with the Natick, Mass. school system. She is survived by her brother, David, '62.
- Lowenthal, Ivy Wohl; Class of 1951. Passed away January 16, 2007.
- Ludeman, Marjorie Maxfield; Class of 1942. Passed away March 3. 2008 after a ten year struggle with Alzheimer's. She had 3 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She taught in high school for over 20 years.
- Lyons, Genie; Class of 1962. Passed away in 2006 from complications from M/D in Santa Monica, CA.
- Lyons, Peppi Perl; Class of 1958. "1958 Class Cutie", Passed away October 18, 2001.
- McPartland, Thomas J.; Class of January 1938. WWII Navy 9 months after graduation, Deputy Chief FDNYC, loving wife and 3 children, Coast Guard Reserve. Passed away September 15, 1973.
- Melkonian, Dr. Roger; Class of 1963. Graduated from Brooklyn College in 1967. A member of the Choral Club. Passed away October 21, 2001.
- Miller, Robert; Class of 1972. Robert perished in the 9/11/01 World Center terrorist attack. Friends of Robert Miller have established a Savings Trust for his two children. - Minford, Robert V.; Class of January 1946. Passed away February 4, 2004. He had a career in theater as an actor and director that spanned over 40 years.
- Morse, Joan Lansky; Class of 1949. Passed away October 23, 2008. She was Arista and is survived by Jerry, husband, Jim, son, Nina Falci, Herndon, VA, daughter and two grandchildren, Ellen and Robin Falci.
- Nachtigall, Walter; Class of 1949. Was captain of the Cheerleaders. Passed away April 3, 1999.
- Odessa, Louise Moscarelli; Class of 1946. Passed away June 13, 2004, on her 50th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband Paul J. Moscarelli and their foster son David Berrios.
- Oling, Gloria Frank; Class of 1938. Gloria Oling Frank, was born and raised in Brooklyn, died on May 18, 2004, of pneumonia and heart failure, at the age of 82. She was an outstanding student at Erasmus and a member of Arista, the school honor society. Long before the arrival of computers, Gloria used to assist the school administration in scheduling the students in their classes, matching student needs and preferences with the availability and timing of the classes. She went on to the University of Vermont, where she earned scholastic recognition in being named to Phi Beta Kappa, majored in foreign languages and graduated in 1942. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Beryl Frank of Silver Spring; two children, Lincoln Frank of Baltimore, Md., and Bruce Frank of Chappaqua, New York; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Elaine Oling Rodbart.
- Peden, Betty R. Homan; Class of 1939. Passed away along with her son and daughter-in-law when the plane her son was piloting crashed on takeoff July 5, 2006. (see William Homan ' 37. They met at Erasmus and married in 1943.)
- Presser, Stefan; Class of 1971. Passed on October 10, 2005, Stefan Presser, 52, Legal Chief for A.C.L.U. in Pennsylvania. He was a lawyer who for 21 years was legal director of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

- Reibstein, Hermine (Sissy) Goldstein; Class of 1945. Born 1928, Died January 2, 2006 in Atlanta, GA.
- Rein, Audrey; Class of 1948. Passed away December 10, 2005. Audrey took great pride in having attended Erasmus and took great pleasure in attending various alumni events over the years.
- Dr. Rockaway, Harold; Class of 1943. Passed away in 1993. He was chief of psychiatry at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston, Texas, in addition to a private practice in that city treating alcoholics and drug addicts. At a memorial service held in a packed auditorium of St. Joseph's, attended by staff and patients, a eulogy was presented by his former EHHS classmate and still best friend Stan Englebardt.
- Rosenberg, Miriam; Class of 1968. Passed away March 3rd, 2002. Miriam was single and is survived by one brother in California and two dear nieces, Michelle & Esther of Brooklyn. Miriam is also remembered by her special friends and classmates from '68, Dian Monat, Joanne Tucker-Schwatz.
- Rosenthal, Louis Henry; Class of 1930. Passed away February 19, 2007. Father of Adella and Bernice. Lou was a friend and advisor to a generation of artists who made a significant impact on modern and abstract art in the 20th century.
- Rudnick, Gertrude "Pat"; Class of 1941. Passed away at 80. Lived in Monroe, NJ since 1990.
- Rutchik, Howard; Class of 1934. Passed away February 22, 1999 in Memphis, TN. He had changed his name to Richards in the late 1940's.
- Schaen, Lionel; Class of 1953. Passed away July 25, 2007. He was voted "Joe Erasmus" by his graduating class and played basketball during his four years. He is survived by his wife, Jan, two sons, a daughter and three grandchildren.
- Schepps, Herbert; Class of 1937. Passed away November 21, 2002. He had three children, 11 grandchildren and one great grand daughter.
- Schubert, Steve; Class of 1965. Passed away July 2003. He was Co-Captain of the Swim team in '64 and '65. He left his wife Bernadette amd four children, Johanna, Elizabeth, Emma and Nicholas.
- Shanman, Malcom T.; Former Dean of Boys at Erasmus Hall HS, passed away August 1, 2000.
- Sills, Beverly (Belle Miriam Silverman); Renowned Opera Singer, attended Erasmus in the mid '40s and transferred before graduating. Passed away July 2, 2007.
- Snow, Laura Antler; Class of 1943. Passed away on June 14, 2004 at age 77 in New York City. She was a retired Supervising Home Economist with the NYC Human Resources Administration. She is survived by her spouse of 43 years, Lawrence Antler, her two children, Phoebe and Efrem, and three grandchildren. Carolyn, Elliott and Cameryn. Friends and classmates who would like to pay their respects may visit her memorial bench at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in the Alfred T. White Memorial.
- Stern, Dr. Gertrude: Class of 1940. Founding member of the Erasmus Hall High School Alumni Association, and Board member. Deceased 9/21/00
- Storch, Mel L.; Class of 1961. Passed away Aprill 11, 2004 and is survived by his wife, Lorraine and two daughters, Samantha and Alysia. His brother, Robert and sister, Sherry were also Erasmians.
- Sugerman, Joyce; Class of 1961. Passed away April, 2002.
- Sylbert, Richard "Dick"; Class of 1946. Noted Oscar winning production designer, died March 24, 2002. He was 73.
- Tarley, Arthur J.; Passed away October 4, 2004. He served as a Merchant Seaman in WWII. Anyone with information about him, please contact his daughter Blair A. Tarley at baajeat@airmail.net
- Thorgesen, Madeline Ostwald ; Class of 1938. Passed away May 8, 2005, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul of 47 years in 1993. Madeline so fondly relayed stories of Erasmus Hall and made lifelong friends during her years there. She is survived by her son Richard, daughter Nancy, grandchildren, Erica, Paul, Alison and Bryan and great-grandson Noah.
- Tisch, Preston Robert; Class of 1944. Passed away November 16, 2005. He was one of the Erasmus "Angels" that hosted the Golden Reunion, 2003 and the Reunion of the '40s in 1997. He is best known as one of the owners of the NY Giants football team and of the Loews Hotel in NY.
- Towbin, Adele May; Adele was a Physical Education teacher at Erasmus and served as the Phys. Ed. Dept. Chair in the 60's. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Adele passed away January 9, 2007.
- Winograd, Marilyn Kaye; Class of 1958. Passed away March 25, 2006.
