Erasmus Hall High School Alumni Association
This page is dedicated to the funds that have been set up to give deserving Erasmus graduates, scholarships.
Your generous contributions make these funds possible.
We received the following thank you letter from Alecia Anderson who is the first student to graduate with a BS degree in Biology having received 4 years of scholarship grants from the Alumni Association. She makes it quite clear that our gifts have saved her years of study because of her limited means.
July 4, 2007
Dear EHHS Alumni Association c/o Ms. Phyllis Nathan,
I would like to give my greatest gratitude and sincere appreciation for the assistance you have given me in helping to accomplish one of my goals in life.
For the past four years your contribution towards my education has rescued me from doing a four year degree in more than six years. I have graduated with my Bachelor's in Biology, and now I am a part of the alumni at Medgar Evers College.
I plan to continue my education by pursuing nursing through an accelerated program in another college to become a nurse practitioner in years to come.
Currently, I am filling out application forms for many different colleges for the accelerated program. I know that there are a few classes that I need to take before beginning the program and I have made plans to take these classes in Spring 2008.
Your contributions have been the greatest help then, and will continue to be so as I continue this spring with these few classes that I need in order to enter nursing school the following year.
Once again, I thank you for the opportunity that you have given me in helping me to accomplish my goals.
Sincerely,
Alecia Anderson
